Grotto has emerged as the premier wine bar destination in Northeast Ohio. We are situated in Historic Shaker Square; rich in history and surrounded by great restaurants and chefs.

A perfect compliment to Shaker Square, Grotto’s Italian menu and International wine list has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy a variety of amazing wines and small plates called “piccoli piatti” dishes at very reasonable prices. Simply put, we feature wine we love with the food we love.

Whether you start your or end your night at Grotto, once you get there, you won’t want to leave. The decor and ambiance really set this wine bar apart. Portions of the space look like they were carved out of a Roman aqueduct. The focal point of Grotto has to be the 1000 bottle wine cellar that is encased in stone and brick and acts as the back drop for the bar and dining areas.

Grotto opened in 2009 under chef/owner Fabio Salerno, his father Ricardo and brother William, Grotto is operated by Salerno Group, which also runs Cleveland area restaurants Gusto! Ristorante Italiano in Little Italy and Lago Restaurant and Wine Bar in Tremont.
