Grotto has emerged as the premier wine bar destination in Northeast Ohio. We are situated in Historic Shaker Square; rich in history and surrounded by great restaurants and chefs.
Grotto Wine Bar is the perfect compliment to Shaker Square.

Grotto is open 7 days a week starting at 4:30 and offers late night dining. Grotto’s Italian menu and International wine list has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy a variety of amazing wines and small plates called “piccoli piatti” dishes at very reasonable prices. We feature simply, wine we love with the food we love.

Whether you start your night or end your night at Grotto, once you get there, you won’t want to leave. The decor and ambiance really set this wine bar apart. Portions of the space look like they were carved out of a Roman aqueduct. The focal point of Grotto has to be the 1000 bottle wine cellar that is encased in stone and brick and acts as the back drop for the bar and dining areas.

Grotto opened in 2003 under chef/owner Fabio Salerno and his father Ricardo. Along side brother/son William Salerno, Grotto is operated by Salerno Group, which also runs Cleveland area restaurants Gusto! Ristorante Italiano in Little Italy and Lago Restaurant and Wine Bar in Tremont.
